This class introduces essential music theory concepts for students of all instruments. Using The Royal Conservatory’s Celebrate Theory 4, students explore theory through practical activities, written exercises, exploration of repertoire, guided listening and melody writing. By integrating music theory with practical study, students develop well-rounded musicianship skills in an interactive and engaging way.

Spring Session: April 26 – June 14, 2025

We recommend students take rudiments classes alongside their private instrumental or voice lessons to enhance their understanding of the music they are learning. Classes include an exploration of Pitch and Notation, Scales and Keys, Rhythm, Intervals, Chords, Melody Writing, Music Appreciation/History, and Analysis.

Performance Classes

Performance classes are part of the school curriculum and are held for private voice and instrumental students three times in the academic year. The goal of these classes is to help students become more comfortable performing in front of others so that they will be able to share their talents with confidence. Teachers will inform parents and students of exact dates and times.
