She has also attended many conferences and seminars related to teaching and instruction, such as teaching students with ADHD, special education, teaching First Nations, social justice, anti-oppressive education, chronic illness in the schools, and more. Her research thesis was nominated for Outstanding Masters Thesis Award. Beth is a published author in the areas of teaching students with a chronic illness.

Beth was first introduced to the Suzuki Method while she was receiving piano lessons in Barrie.
